9 Month Stats

Today was Lillian and Claire's 9 month well baby appointment and it went great considering it was during their morning nap time. They both received the first round of their flu shot and their doctor said they are looking great, not that I was really worried. Here are their stats:

Lillian
*Weight 17lb 14oz 30%
*Height 27 1/2 inches 50%
*Head Circumference 70%

Claire
*Weight 18lb 15oz 50%
*Height 28 inches 55%
*Head Circumference 18inches 92%

These pictures were taken right before their appointment.

Is that standing I see?

Both Lillian and Claire have been standing holding onto everything for months now, but recently they have been "forgetting" to hold. They will stand there on their own for about 20 seconds before they realize they are not holding on and find something to grab onto. Very often they will hold something that really is not even offering too much support, just reassurance. I don't think it will be long and I will have two walkers. Look out world!

Tomorrow is their 9 month appointment, only a week late. I will post with all their new stats in the evening.

I Love My Monsters!

I am really getting to be so bad about updating, but I am going to try harder. Lillian and Claire are both starting to eat more table food and less puree. It is so wonderful not having to send everything through the food processor and just having to chop it up a bit. They are currently loving pasta and almost every fruit. They still have strong disliking of peas, but enjoy their green beans and carrots. I am so excited for the 9 month well baby appointment on Tuesday to see how big my little chunkers are and to ask my millions of questions I have been storing up! They are just silly questions, but that's okay. I am so happy today is Friday and I get to spend all weekend with my girls, after the last week or two I have had, I need all the baby cuddles and smiles I can get!

Lillian was on a mission to get over to me as fast as possible.
Claire making her way along the couch.
Lillian being a goon.
Claire modeling cousin Kaiden's tutu I made last night.
Note to self: don't make them so big for the girls, they might get lost in the tulle.

9 Months Old!

Can you believe my girls are 9 months old already!?!? Here are some new pictures, I think trying to take their monthly pictures were much easier before they were mobile. I used to be able to take dozens of pictures and then pick out a few great ones. Now I take dozens because they keep moving out of the shot when I am trying take them and I just to get just one decent picture. They have their 9 month check up next week so I will post stats then. Oh and on a great note, no immunizations at that check up! Here are a few flops before a few better ones.

Sunday Funday!

They refused to nap more then 30 minutes so they played together in the same crib until it was "wake up" time. There is a video below of them not being tired. :-)
My mistake for giving them baths before having bananas and pancakes this morning, oops. Lillian sure is enjoying her bananas.
Claire loving it.
Claire has a full tummy and has covered herself in banana goo.
Lillian is also covered.
Play time.
Claire has figured out how to escape our boundaries. The exasaucers used to keep them in the living room, once they started to crawl under it we threw a blanket on top and that worked for some time, but not anymore. Here is Claire working her way through.

Here are some videos from today as well.

Green Beans

I am trying to get the girls feeding themselves more and more with finger foods. I am still a nervous wreck about it, but so far so good. Yesterday they fed themselves green beans for the first time and they loved them which is great, because the peas just get thrown on the floor. We have also tried plums, pears, pasta, cheerios, rice, c antelope, bananas, and I can't think of what else yet, but there are others. I am hoping soon they will be completely off the purees and onto table food. Sure would make life for me that much easier. :-)

Lillian
Claire, can you see those teeth down on the bottom?

Popping Teeth

There is no slowing Claire down when it comes to popping those teeth out! In only 1 1/2 weeks she has popped out tooth number one and number two! Her second tooth is right next to her first on the bottom. Here are some pictures from tonight.

Claire stole Lillian's frozen fish and you can see the look on Lillian's face like, "what are you thinking!?!"

Check Out the Hair!

Claire has not been feeling well the last few days, I have a feeling it might be another tooth coming in and is causing her some trouble, but you never really know until it pops. The only time yesterday that Claire was really happy was when her and Lillian were taking a bath together. I wanted them to be able to splash and play together, but sitting in the big tub they slide around too much, so using the idea of another mom of multiples I put them in the laundry basket. This allowed the water to flow into the basket, they had enough room for both of them to sit and play and kept them wrangled up and safe. They had so much fun playing and giggling. I loved finally being able to see Claire smile and be happy for the first time yesterday.

Pool Time

On Saturday we put the girls pool out on the back deck and Lillian and Claire had a ball! They had so much fun splashing and putting on a show for everyone to see. They enjoyed crawling around in the water and kept trying to go over the edge so the water would come rushing out. They thought the toy basket was the best toy in out there so we had to put it in the pool as well. Leia even enjoyed the cool water, but she was drinking it.

Fun in the Hall

Tonight we had some family fun in the hall. Lillian and Claire were both up on all fours crawling on occasion, so maybe soon they will be done with the army crawling and onto the "real" thing. They had fun attacking Josh with he was laying on the floor and playing together in an area they don't normally get to play in. Leia even joined in on the fun.

Morning Workout

Yesterday morning Josh put Lillian and Claire down for their nap and they took a great nap! Instead of hearing fussing or squealing to let us know they were awake we walked in to their room and found them bouncing and chatting and full of smiles. I love it that they were both standing there watching each other and that just got them going even more. My gosh I love these girls!

The Yo Gabba Gabba Trance

Now I am not one to put my children down in front of the television and let them sit there all day. However, I am one to use a little Yo Gabba Gabba when the Lillian and Claire are crazy grumpy and wont let me get away to make their bottles. The t.v. can be on all day and they won't take notice, but the second the theme song of YGG starts playing this is what they become:

Makes you wonder what they are feeding into our children's brains. I'll worry about that later and enjoy the few moments I get now. :-)

Happy Birthday Daddy!

We love you Daddy, happy birthday!
