Sitting on the Step

Since I was not able to get a decent shot of the girls together on Monday when they turned 15 months and after several other failed attempts we tried the front steps. Apparently the trick is to stick them some place new and they are too unsure to get up and walk away. I took these Thursday evening after dinner. Since the sun was still shining and the weather was nice, Josh and I decided to take the girls for a long walk. I am loving the warm up and the longer days!

15 Months

Well, my babies turned 15 months on Monday. Yes, I am a bit late on this, but I was hoping to be able to take their "monthly" picture. That was just a disaster! Also, since I am working in the mornings, Josh gets them dressed before I get home and they also tend to look like the stuck their finger in a light socket by the time I get home. They must be playing rough and eating like pigs with crusted ketchup in their hair. Well, as I am sure you can understand, I don't want that to be the picture of the month, even if it is capturing them as they are now. Hopefully this weekend, even if it is a week delayed, I can get a decent photo. Here are some pictures that were taken on Sunday. Their sweaters were made from our brother in law, Baris' mom in Turkey. They made a long trek to get to us, but I think they are adorable on the girls.

Claire was refusing to take a picture with Lillian.
This was the best I could get of Claire by herself, she would not look at the camera or would put something in front of her face to hide from the camera.
Lillian just did not want to smile for me, but she sat very nicely on the blanket.
My beautiful cheeseball, Claire.

Claire in Action!

Here is a little video of Claire in action with her climbing. I move that silly stroller to the other side of the living room and she will run over there and, well... see for yourself.

The teeth are coming!

Over the past week both girls have had two more teeth pop through, almost done! Claire has a bottom right molar and a top right tooth. It just poked through the gums and I can't tell yet if it is a molar or a canine, Claire likes to bite fingers as soon as they are in her mouth. Lillian has a top left canine and a top left canine that has just poked through as well. She is a pill when she is teething (only at night when in bed) so I am not looking forward to those molars coming through.

A Beautiful Day!

The sun was shining, the temperature was 60 degrees and Josh had the day off work, what else to do but go to the park! I am not sure if they girls have ever actually walked in the grass before, so they were very unsure of it and did not take off running like I expected. They walked slowly and were checking out every leaf and stick on the ground, but enjoyed it. Also, my two little monkeys were not climbing fools as they are at home, maybe next trip when they are more familiar with it all. Claire loved the swings though and had the biggest smile and laugh when she was in them. Lillian was terrified and wanted to get out the moment she was in the swing. After leaving the park we came home to some delicious chicken sandwiches Josh grilled and then headed out for a walk since the sun was still shining after dinner. Might as well enjoy this beautiful day since there is a chance of snow this weekend.

Green Day

Yesterday we were all dressed in our green to celebrate Green Day, oops, I mean St. Patrick's Day. Both girls are covered in their graham cracker sludge and still have one in hand, but this is the best I could get. It makes me a little sad though that the only green shirts I have for them are ones I bought last fall for $2 each on super duper clearance and they are an 18 month. They are still a bit big, but not by much. My babies are growing too fast.

It's a bird... it's a plane... it's Lillian and Claire!

Josh was home sick yesterday from work, but that didn't stop him from getting a few belly laughs from Claire and Lillian. He sent them flying and they loved every second of it.

We took both girls yesterday to the doctor to get checked out since they have continued coughing, runny noses and the congestion. Their ears and lungs are clear, but they both have a ton of mucous in their throats which is causing all the trouble. We were given an antibiotic to help clear them up, but we just have to wait it out. If in 10 days and the antibiotic is up and they are not feeling better we have to take them in for more testing. Let's hope this can be the end.

Monkey See, Monkey Do

The past week the little monkeys, I mean girls, in the house have been climbing on EVERYTHING! Nothing is off limits when it comes to climbing it seems. Here is the proof of what has been going on.

Claire is doing her riding tricks on the rocking horse.
Both monkeys are climbing up the stroller and to the couch.
Claire, not only climbing but standing on their stroller.
Lillian climbing on their scooter get a better look as to what is on top of the table.

Luckily, they have not yet figured out how to get onto the couch and chair without the help using a toy as a step stool, but they almost have it.

Giggle, Giggle, Cough

Well the sickies are not getting any better and now I am sick to. Both girls have been caughing a lot during the night and it has been keeping Lillian up most of the night. Tonight, however, both girls were up coughing and whining for two hours before I went in there to get them. Once we came out of their room and I got them a drink of water the coughing stopped and they were both happy as can be and giggle machines. Tomorrow I am going to call their peditrician and see what he thinks. They are both back in bed, still coughing but atleast sleeping.

Here is a picture of both girls at 10pm, two hours after bedtime.

Watching this video of tubbie time at 7pm you wouldn't even be able to tell they are sick at all.

Snot n Cough

All last week both girls have had nonstop runny noses. It wouldn't be so bad if they didn't throw a complete fit every time we tried to wipe them. Actually, they would throw a fit if we could catch them. If they saw us grab a tissue they would take off running down the hallway in the hopes of escaping the doom of a tissue to the nose. Once we catch them then it is a wrestling match to get the snot before they try to rub it away with their hands. This went on every 15 minutes for over a week straight. Well, now that the noses are pretty much cleaned up, Lillian had a bad cough. It is the worst at night when she is laying down or while eating (not really sure about that one). I hope she kicks this soon so we can be done with all the sickies.

On a side note, the weather is warming up nicely here so I was finally able to get the girls out for a nice long walk yesterday, the first one of the season! We are excited to get the yard cleaned up so we can take the girls out to play. I think they will love it!

Just some pictures

This weekend I had the opportunity to meet a fellow MoM (mom of multiples) Katy. I bet her through an online message board I am a member of and since they were in the Kansas City area for the weekend we used this as the chance to meet. Katy surprised me when she pulled out her camera and snapped a few pictures. Please check out her website and check out her beautiful work, she is an amazing photographer. . Thank you again Katy for the beautiful pictures.

The girls were unsure of her giant camera
