Josh and I were able to get away this weekend without the girls to head up for my friend Lauren's wedding. My mom and sister, Holly, flew down for the weekend from Milwaukee to spend time with the girls and we took off.
We left Thursday afternoon to surprise Lauren at her hotel suite, she was under the impression (because myself and several others kept the truth from her) that I was not going to be able to make it to St. Cloud until Friday afternoon. It was so fun being able to know on her suite door at 11:30pm and have her be completely surprised.
Friday was Josh and my 5 year wedding anniversary, however, we spent a total of 30 minutes together. He headed to Mankato to spend some time with friends and I had a day with Lauren and many other great girls helping her pull together the final touches for her wedding. We had manicures and pedicures, a fabulous lunch, had the wedding rehearsal, and a delicious dinner all before staying up late with an anxious bride.
Saturday morning came very early with make up starting around 7:30am and hair at 11am. We had a blast helping Lauren get ready for this special day and driving around to different locations to take pictures. Finally, it was wedding time, and the weather could not have been any more perfect. Both Lauren and Dexter had surprises for each other through out the night, but the best part was seeing two people deeply in love surrounded by so many people who love them.
Lauren and Dexter are going to have a long and happy life together and I know they will always keep each other laughing.
