Baking with Grandma

I am still trying to find the time to catch up with my posts. Life is so crazy busy in our house right now and I have very little time to get the long list of things done that I need to. Sadly, the blog is taking the biggest hit.

Just over two weeks ago, Grandma Pattie came over to the house for the day to hang out with the girls while Josh and I went to run errands and go on a lunch date. While at the house, the girls were able to make a mess and bake special monkey cupcakes. They were so excited to make them.

They helped pour and mix. Of course, they even had to do some taste testing for quality checks.

After they baked, they did not want to wait for them to cool before they decorated them. Grandma brought over all the fixings and the girls had a blast as they made a mess and got creative. Again, it is very important to taste test as you go. Claire was pretty patient and waited until she was all finished decorating before diving in and eating her cupcake. Lillian, on the other hand, ate as she went and just kept piling on more.

They made a mess, they needed a change of clothes, they had a sugar high, but they had so much fun and that is what makes the memory special and one to hold onto for many years to come.
