Finally the weather is warming up around here and our cold days are in the upper 40's, this has been such a long winter, we are all ready for it. The grass is turning green, the trees are budding and flowering, daffodils and tulips are blooming and we can play comfortably outside again. Most days last week we spent time in the yard playing. Over the weekend we went to the park and played for over an hour on Saturday morning. On Sunday we had a new record high of 91 degrees (today it will only get up to 49). With this warm weather, also comes yard work. Now, of course we are slow to get things done around here, but the neighbors have all been hard at work. Lillian and Claire have sat perched on the couch in their usual spot watching everyone hard at work. On Friday they sat there for probably 45 minutes watching the workers shovel soil from their trucks, send branches through the chipper, make many trips around the neighbors house with their wheelbarrows. As they sat and watched, they also had their animals with them to play with. After I opened up the window to let the breeze blow through, I am pretty sure Lillian sent an animal through the small hole in the screen. I am ready for many more warm days, trips to the park and many more days playing outside.
